The ultimate living room statement plant in UAE, the Fiddle Leaf Fig turns any corner into a focal point.

Featuring huge, unique violin-shaped leaves, this Fiddle Leaf Fig is a statement piece to be featured in a living room.
Most Fiddle Leaf Figs seen are a single stick with leaves, but this indoor plant has three stems. That means you get a much fuller, bushier plant that actually fills up a corner.

Also known as the fiddle leaf fig tree or Ficus lyrata. A three-stem fiddle leaf fig for homes in Dubai and across the UAE.

Sizes: choose your height: 120cm or 200cm.

Light: Bright, indirect light is best. It can adapt to medium light; water less often there. It can take some direct sun, but keep it away from harsh midday sun through glass.
Water: Keep the soil lightly moist, but never soggy. In UAE homes with the AC on, check with your finger before watering.

Pets: not pet-safe. Keep it out of reach of cats and dogs.

Not to be confused with its Ficus cousins: the Rubber Tree (Ficus elastica) has oval, waxy leaves, and the Teardrop Tree (Ficus benjamina) has small leaves. Only the Fiddle Leaf Fig has the violin-shaped leaves.

Delivered across the UAE: we deliver in Dubai and across the UAE. Choose the Circle pot for a cement planter handmade in the UAE by Plntd, or keep the plant in its nursery pot.

Botanical name: Ficus Lyrata

Fiddle Plants grow best in spaces with bright indirect light, where the sun is soft or diffused. They can adapt to medium light, though be careful to not overwater it, as the soil will take longer to dry with lesser light. They can also tolerate direct sunlight, though be sure to check the soil regularly since that will cause your Fiddle Plant's soil to dry out faster. Never place it in a dark spot, since the soil will almost definitely take too long to dry out, which will cause your Fiddle Plant's roots to rot (a death sentence).
Medium light diagram
Maintain moist soil

Every week, stick your finger 1 inch into the soil:

  • If you feel ANY moisture, at all, wait longer before watering.
  • If the soil feels COMPLETELY DRY, then it’s time to water.

Note: the more light it gets, the more often it'll need to be checked & watered

Discard excess water

When watering, fully water the entire soil mixture. Then, allow all the excess water to drain out the bottom of the pot’s drainage holes. Discard that water.

FAQ

Caring for your Fiddle Leaf Fig
Fiddle Plants love bright, indirect light and thrive near large, sunny windows. Indoors, they need similar conditions to keep their large violin-shaped leaves healthy and vibrant.

Best placement: Close to an east-facing window, or a few feet from a south or west-facing window with sheer curtains.
If the light is too low: Leaves may drop, growth will slow, and the plant can become leggy.
If the light is too strong: Direct UAE summer sun can scorch the leaves — provide filtered light during midday.
Water every 1–2 weeks, but always let the top 5–8 cm of soil dry out before watering again.

How to check: Stick your finger into the soil — if it feels dry at that depth, it’s time to water.
Why this matters: Fiddle Plants dislike constantly wet soil, which can lead to root rot. Their roots thrive in evenly moist but not soggy conditions.
Watering tip: When watering your plant, evenly water the entire soil mixture until you see water draining from the bottom of the nursery pot. After allowing all the excess water to drain out, discard that water.
Repot every 1–2 years, or when you see roots coming through the drainage holes. Whichever comes first.

Why not repot right away? Like most plants, Fiddle Plants experience “transit shock” after being moved to a new home, so it’s best to let them settle first.
Best time to repot: October to May, when the plant is actively growing.
Yes! Fiddle Plants benefit from regular fertilizing. If you live in the UAE, fertilize once a month from October to May, when your Fiddle plant is actively growing.

During the peak summer months (June–September), growth will slow due to extreme heat, so reduce or pause fertilizing if your plant isn’t actively growing. Over-fertilizing can stress the plant and lead to leaf burn.
Not ideal — Fiddle Plants are moderately sensitive to the chloramine and high mineral content in UAE tap water, which can cause leaf spots or browning over time.

Better options: Filtered water or distilled water, especially if you notice leaf tip browning.

To distill water, boil in a kettle at 100 degrees celsius and allow the water to cool down to room temperature overnight
Yes — Fiddle Plants can grow into small indoor trees, reaching 2–3 meters indoors with the right care.
No — Fiddle Plants are toxic to cats and dogs if ingested. Keep out of reach of pets.
Brown spots: Often caused by overwatering, root rot, or fungal issues.
Yellow leaves: Usually a sign of overwatering or poor drainage.
Brown edges: Can result from low humidity or inconsistent watering.
Dropping leaves: Often due to sudden environmental changes, low light, or ac drafts.

If you ever need some extra help caring for your Fiddle Plant, feel free to send us a message on WhatsApp or book a plant care call with us.
Yes — they prefer moderate humidity.

Why: Their large leaves lose moisture quickly in dry air, which can cause the edges of the leaves to brown.
Tip: Mist the leaves once a day to boost humidity and wipe leaves regularly to remove dust, which can block light absorption.
Yes — just keep it away from direct cold drafts from AC vents, which can dry the leaves.
Our priority is to get your houseplant to you as safely as possible and ensure that it flourishes when it gets there.

Your plant will arrive in its nursery pot, securely packaged to protect the leaves and prevent soil spillage.

Once received, place your plant in the spot you plan to keep it in and leave it there until it is time to repot, allowing it to acclimate to its new environment.

There are some exceptions to this approach, specifically with our range of micro succulents, that tend to acclimate just fine outside of their nursery pots. So, we've gone ahead and repotted those plants for you.
